Mark, that’s a great idea. Just some preliminary thoughts:
This may sound a bit fussy, but can we call them ‘stories’ rather than
‘testimonies’? I have a bit of a problem with the religiousness of the latter term.
I think it would be good to regard these stories as indicators of the
emerging church, signs of what we sense the church will be or needs to be.
So they need to be chosen well.
Given the general thrust of the site, I think these stories should also in
some way illustrate (or challenge) an emerging theology. There are plenty of places on the
web where people can share their experiences of ministry and mission. I
would rather keep the theological focus of open source theology intact.
I presume you’ve seen the life stories that have been posted in the oddly
named ‘Nothing to do with Mary at all’ thread. Is
that the sort of format you had in mind?
* …can we call them ‘stories’? I have a bit of a problem with the religiousness of the latter term.
I don’t care, so long as I get to call ‘Jesus’ ‘Jesus.’

Without selectivity and editing the whole site turns to drivel. Do as the Lord leads.

Absolutely!

Yes, indeed. I personally prefer descriptive thread names to cryptic ones. The format there is fine. Your move / God’s move…
